Most of the characters were easily recognisable and especially herĭepiction of "Banjo" Patterson (with whom Miles Franklin wasĮntangled in an emotional relationship) as the calculatingly Of Franklin's own introduction to the cream of Sydney society, "My Career Goes Bung" was written and ready for publication inġ902 but the sequel to "My Brilliant Career" had her publisher, Own name) the last "On Dearborn Street" about her years inĬhicago co-editing a Trade Union magazine, was issued in 1981.
